Mechanical Engineer Designer Automated Machinery Rotary & Linear Multi-Axis Motion Mechanisms Machine Parts Solidworks 3D CAD Drafter FEA Modeling Projects _ .

Join a team designing and testing robotic systems used in high-precision handling and manipulating.

Requirements:

*** Associates or Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or similar discipline.

*** Minimum 4+ years experience using 2D & 3D design and modeling software.

*** Proven track record designing multi-axis motion mechanisms.

*** Familiarity with stress and failure analysis calculations including GD&T, FEA and CFD.

Shall:

*** Design robotic End of Arm Tooling applications (End Effectors) including:

-Impactive End Effectors - Jaws and claws which physically grasp by direct impact upon substrates.

-Ingressive End Effectors - Pins, needles and hackles which physically penetrate the surface of components.

-Astrictive End Effectors - Vacuum or magnetic suction force applied to the components and substrates.

-Contigutive End Effectors - Requiring direct contact for adhesion by glue, surface tension, freezing, etc.

*** Design, or design integration of components including:

- Linear motor driven XYZ motion systems

- Vacuum pumps

- Digital optic vision systems

*** Design robots for high-precision, high-speed and performance applications including, but not limited to:

- Aligning, coating and stacking

- Precision pick and place

- Semiconductor and circuit board packaging
