  • 10 hour days (730a-6pm) with a day off during the week, On call as well including weeknights and weekends.
  • EPIC experience REQUIRED.

    • Job Requirements
    • Must be a graduate of an approved professional academic imaging program.
    • Must hold an Associate or Applied Science Degree (AS or AAS), or Diploma, in X-ray.
    • Must hold current New York State registration or possess a limited permit to practice in the State of New York and by registered by the ARRT.
    • CPR certification is required.
    • Previous experience is helpful.
    • Willing to train the best candidate for the job.

        • Unit Specific Information
        • The Medical Imaging Technologist within the Division of Vascular and Interventional Radiology, under the direction of the Medical Director, the manager, and the physicians, has a key role in providing quality care to patients requiring a wide variety of procedural services.
        • The VIR Technologist works collaboratively with all members of the team to create diagnostic images, engage in hands-on participation as a procedural assistant, and develop relationships with staff and patients to provide everyone with a safe and positive experience.
        • VIR technologists practice and enforce the radiation safety measures in New York State Department of health code part 16 and support teaching and continued learning for themselves and others as technology evolves.
        • Essential duties & responsibilities include knowledge of radiation protection and safety, assisting physicians in all aspects of complex procedures, and demonstrating knowledge about and proficiency using each of the supplies used for a variety of IR procedures.
