Bioinformatics Software Engineer

Job Description:

A company is looking for a Bioinformatics Software Engineer I-Remote, USA.

Key Responsibilities

Drive technical solutions to problems, from ideation to release
Design and develop custom software according to ticket specifications
Provide mentorship and feedback on code reviews to junior engineers

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of work experience, Master's degree with 1+ year, or PhD in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or related field
Proficient in Python coding
Intermediate experience in Linux environments and relational databases
Proficiency with software engineering best practices, including git version control
Knowledge of next-generation sequencing technologies and standard bioinformatics data formats
