Full-timeReports to: Compliance ManagerJob Summary:The
Credentialing Specialist will play a vital role in the recruitment,
credentialing, and onboarding process of home health aides, nurses,
and other healthcare professionals for our New York State licensed
home health care agency. The ideal candidate will ensure that all
personnel are properly credentialed in compliance with state
regulations and agency policies, while also managing the hiring and
onboarding process to deliver qualified, compassionate caregivers
to our clients.Key Responsibilities:--- Recruitment & Hiring:---
Assist at times in the recruitment process for home health aides,
nurses, and other care staff.--- Assist at times with Sourcing,
screening, and interviewing candidates to ensure they meet the
agency's standards and state regulations.--- Collaborate with
department managers to determine staffing needs and create job
postings.--- Credentialing & Compliance:--- Verify all required
licenses, certifications, and credentials for new hires and ensure
compliance with New York State regulations for home health care
agencies.--- Maintain and update personnel files to ensure accurate
records of licenses, certifications, and training.--- Monitor and
manage expirations of credentials, ensuring timely renewals.---
Conduct background checks, drug testing, and reference checks in
accordance with state and agency requirements.--- Ensure adherence
to DOH (Department of Health) and CHAP (Community Health
Accreditation Partner) standards and regulations.--- Onboarding &
Orientation:--- Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires,
including completion of necessary paperwork, mandatory training,
and orientation sessions.--- Assist with scheduling employee
orientation, ensuring all compliance-related education is completed
before staff begin work.--- Educate new hires about agency
policies, procedures, and expectations.--- Recordkeeping &
Reporting:--- Maintain accurate and organized records for all
employees.--- Generate and prepare reports related to hiring
metrics, credentialing status, and compliance.--- Ensure proper
documentation and timely communication of any changes in policies,
regulations, or credentialing requirements.--- Continuous
Improvement:--- Stay informed of changes in state and federal
healthcare regulations related to credentialing.--- Work closely
with leadership to continuously improve hiring, credentialing, and
onboarding processes.Qualifications:--- Bachelor's degree in Human
Resources, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (preferred
but not required).--- 2+ years of experience in healthcare
recruiting, credentialing, or human resources, preferably in a home
health care or similar regulated setting.--- Strong knowledge of
New York State Department of Health regulations and credentialing
processes for healthcare professionals.--- Excellent organizational
skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple
tasks simultaneously.--- Strong communication and interpersonal
skills, Spanish speaking strongly preferred.--- Proficiency in
Microsoft Office Suite and experience with Applicant Tracking
Systems (ATS) or credentialing software.Working Conditions:---
